All genuine LEESON motors use standard, high-quality sealed ball bearings (like 6205 or 6206 series). The discount guys? They may swap in a generic import bearing to save a buck. You won't know until the motor starts making noise on the production line.
The Takeaway: Total Cost, Not Unit Price
I am not saying you should never shop around. But my rule now is: always verify the full specs, frame size, and mechanical dimensions before approving a purchase. If you are on a tight deadline, the total cost of ownership calculation includes the risk of getting the wrong part.
That $300 Dave saved? It cost him $1,555 more in total when accounting for the first motor and the rush fees. He learned the hard way: the cheapest price is often an expensive illusion.
